This Game of Business

I can’t stand it when the story takes forever to go anywhere because the writer is too caught up in trying to prove how big their vocabulary is. Yes, big fancy descriptions have their place, but you can’t spend an entire book doing that. It’s more important to move the story along than bombard the reader with a bunch of flash that nobody cares about. How great of a writer you are has nothing to do with how many obscure words you use but how well you immerse the reader in your writing. So for the love of God and all things holy, stop boring the shit out of us!
